Lessons from DisneyLand

DisneylandOn this episode of the Jody Maberry Show, we will visit Disneyland.

The morning of my visit to Disneyland, Lee Cockerell sent me a message that said, “You will walk where Walt walked.”

Walt Disney is the reason visiting Disneyland was so special. Disney World is bigger, but to know you are walking where Walt walked makes time at Disneyland so special.

Here are the lessons I learned during my time at Disneyland.

  1. Learn from the people who came before you. Learning about legends and founder, like Walt Disney, is crucial if you are going to be great at what you do. Study the legends.
  2. Other people get into your head and tell you things are scary or can’t be done. You need to take over what is in your mind.
  3. Disney will devote as many cast members as needed to make sure you feel Disney Land is the happiest place on earth. Are you using the right resources to make sure your customers enjoy working with you?
  4. Adventure connects you together. I spent the day at Disney Land with 3 other people. Our adventure connected us together and we spent plenty of time together over the next few days at Podcast Movement. Adventure bonds you together.
